We are looking for volunteers interested in assisting us with Bookbag Drive on Saturday, August 8th, 2009 from 10am - 2pm. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the form below and we will contact you with more information.
As you know, there are many children living in economically distressed communities within the Southeast Raleigh area. They begin every school year at a disadvantage due to a lack of school supplies and resources. In response to this need, the members of Vision International Church are hosting the 3rd Annual Bless The Future, a school supply giveaway campaign for community children in need. This August, in preparation for the 2009-2010 school year, we have committed to provide 10,000 school-supply filled book bags to the children of Raleigh. This is an opportunity to make a great investment in the future of our community, but we can’t do it alone. We are seeking donations, in-kind or monetary, for the following items:
- 10,000 Waterproof Bookbags
- 10,000 Packs of Notebook Paper
- 10,000 Packs of Pens
- 10,000 Packs of Pencils
- 10,000 Bottles of Glue
- 10,000 Packs of Crayons
- 10,000 Packs of Tissues
- 10,000 Bottles Hand Sanitizer
- 10,000 Pencil Boxes
- 10,000 Wire Bound Notebooks
We recognize that this is a lofty endeavor but we believe the children of this community are worth the effort and we are confident you feel the same.
